With snow on the ground, winds howling outside… it’s the perfect time of year to stay indoors and write!

Each month, The Poisoned Martini presents a photo to spark your creativity.  Because of their visual nature, images vividly speak to writers and spark ideas for writing.  View the photo below, ponder what you see, and then put pen to paper or finger to keyboard.  Write a scene, a short story, a chapter, a novella, or maybe even a novel.

Last month’s image featured a scene of Christmas ornaments in a shop window. The photo was taken in Bern, Switzerland in August 2014.

Now, think of some place warm, take up your pencils, your pens, or your keyboard and follow your instincts and write. What will this month’s image inspire?
