It’s time for The Poisoned Martini’s latest Writing Challenge!

As a means to inspire writing, The Poisoned Martini is featuring an image to spark creativity.  Such images, because of their visual nature, vividly speak to writers and spark ideas for writing.  The idea is to view the image below and to write a scene, a short story, a chapter, a novella, or maybe even a novel!

Last month’s picture might be familiar to some.  Of courswes, it’s different color now, but painted white, this location served as the exterior of the Stratford Inn in Newhart (1982-1990) starring Bob Newhart and Mary Frann.  In real life, it’s known as the Waybury Inn, located near Middlebury, Vermont.  A little has changed since its TV days … the change of color, the extended deck in front, and the landscaping, particularly the stone work around the sign.  View the image here.
