May is National Short Story Month!  Have you written your short story?  It’s not to late!

To spark your creativity, The Poisoned Martini is featuring a new image to get you started.  Such images, because of their visual nature, vividly speak to writers and spark ideas for writing.  The idea is to view the image below and to write a scene, a short story, a chapter, a novella, or maybe even a novel.

Last month’s images–there were three of them–featured what is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world, the Eiffel Tower.  See the post here.

This month’s image was selected in part because of an Agatha Christie novel cover image of The A.B.C. Murders, posted on The Poisoned Martini +.  The photo was taken in a park overlooking a well-known body of water.  What ideas, stories does it suggest…
