What a blast from the past!
My favorite time of the year is Autumn. I think of it as a time of reflection on things past. Memories stir, and Nostalgia takes hold. During this season of changing leaves, it seems like I’m often reminded of experiences I’ve had.
In searching for a change of desktop theme, I stumbled across this familiar one. This wallpaper—part of the “mystery” theme—came with the Windows 98 operating system. For a long time I used it as my desktop. It even seeped into a story or two I was working on. In particular, the fireplace and painting inspired a segment of a story. It reminds me how evocative images can be and how they can be a source of inspiration to craft stories.
